Some things feel like they were part of us since before we were born. Music has always felt like this to me.

Before words could explain much of anything, music could. It has been with me through every season of my life...joy, uncertainty, grief, growth, hope, change. Even in quieter years, it remained close, like a familiar friend waiting in the background, for me to feel it again. But always meeting me whenever I needed comfort, expression, release, or healing.

Music has always been one of the ways I return to myself. There were years when I played more publicly, years when life moved in other directions, and years when that part of me became silent. But some gifts do not disappear when they are not being showcased...they just deepen as they gather life experiences. The songs become richer, some more tired, some with more depth...without any words, only sounds. It always came from my heart. It's a signature of my spirit.

This week feels like a return to that part of my spirit...

This Friday at the Gem & Mineral Show, I’ll be sharing the first Deep Earth show through art, presence, and live music...my first time performing out again in nearly twenty years.

And what feels even more meaningful is this is that I am writing the first Deep Earth song and may play it live on Friday. That matters to me because Deep Earth has been growing first through texture, shape, color, and feeling through fiber art, but now, another part of that same world wants to be heard...

It feels less like just beginning and more like pieces of my life meeting each other at the right time.

The artist. The musician. The woman I was. The woman I’ve become...All standing in the same place now.

Deep Earth was never only meant to be seen. It was meant to be felt, and maybe now, heard too.

Some things wait patiently until the moment comes to fully arrive.

This Friday feels like one of those moments. So don't miss it...

This comet only comes around every 20 years!
