Beneath the Ridge is a sculptural fiber artwork from the Deep Earth Studies series. Inspired by exposed earth, weathered stone, and the layered formations found beneath mountain ridges, the piece explores the quiet processes that shape a landscape over time.

Bands of cream, ochre, rust, brown, and stone gray move across the surface like geological strata, revealing traces of pressure, movement, and change. Mounted on wood, the elongated format echoes a cross-section of the earth, inviting the viewer to consider what lies beneath what is immediately seen.

Part of the ongoing Deep Earth exploration of how the earth tells its story and how people do the same, Beneath the Ridge reflects on memory, formation, and the unseen forces that shape both land and life. Measures aprox. 17"x 6". Mounted on Dark Cherry wood platform.
